I am a high school student who is dramatically torn between science and the literary arts. This blog is my way of calming down after THREE HOURS OF HOMEWORK that I may or may not have actually completed. Except my English. Maybe. Depending on how productive I feel.
I spend all my spare time reading and writing (spare time becoming a rarer commodity as I advance through high school). They say to write what you know… and I like to think I know my English a little. Maybe. So here, on this blog, you may find book reviews, author interviews, book trailers and some other things about writing, such as competitions and samples.
Son of hipster:
I, an illiterate knave of sorts, am a periodic poster on this here blog! As a troll turned writer I offer new perspectives on various issues. These perspectives may just be youtube videos but they’re better than the pointless book reviews Abi writes. Also, despite the fact she fervently and passionately (though unconvincingly) denies this, Abi does in fact enjoy my posting.
*Administrator’s interpretation of Son of hipster’s thoughts. Maybe at some point he’ll notice this and actually write an introduction… but I doubt this. Besides, if I may flatter myself, this is pretty spot on.

i probably should do one of these… and THREE HOURS?! HOW DO YOU DO THAT?! you make me feel so guilty
and wow you must really like your english….. i like reading, writing, poetry, grammar, vocab, but not necessarily english. I like to write about what I want, not about some stupid topic the teacher has picked. That and teachers dont actually teach me grammar or vocabulary in school or let me write books.

Weeellll… That was written in grade ten… First semester. I was a fairly good student then. And English was fun at Westdale. All field trips and amazing creative writing assignments and massive class (debates) discussions. :3
