Crocodile Tears
I am addicted to this series. I don’t love them, and, if I think about it, Alex really doesn’t have to much of a personality. But… BUT… BUT…Anthony Horowitz is an extremely talented writer. I honestly believe that Alex as a fully developed character doesn’t have much of a personality because that is who he is, a quiet type of person. Not because of the writer’s laziness. (seeWitch and Wizard). The writing was, as usual, gripping. It was painful to put it down. I’m not sure if it is the final, and conflicting hints in the book make me suspect that it wasn’t clear to the author either.
The book stars Alex (who is still incredibly fourteen) and has to do with MI6 (as usual) and stuff blowing up, and traveling all over the world to save the planet from deranged billionaires (also as usual). If you haven’t read the series, maybe you should.
