The Dust of 100 Dogs

This very strange and original book was about a female pirate killed in the 17th Century who was then cursed to live one hundred lives of a dog. The book skips between her life as a pirate and her life as an American teen with every single memory of the last three hundred years. Also, the life of a man living in Jamaica because (SPOILER!). There is buried treasure ) and both of the the two story lines about Emer/ Saffron begin and end there, if that is possible… The modern day story is told in first person whereas her life as a pirate is written in third person. Although some readers may find the book slow or dry, it is a good read that haunts you after your done.

Note: There are several Graphic scenes and bad language. She is not a romanticized pirate.
