I often run out of books, which is a problem. In fact this happens a lot. Then I go to the library and take out a bunch and about 70% of those are awful! So, if anyone has any good books that you think I should read, I would love suggestions! Just post a comment with a title and/or a quick summary.

Anything by David Leviathan or John Greene. I insist you read something by at least two of those authors. INSIST!

That’s good. And if you’re not yet tired of Urban Fantasy, we could read The White Cat by Holly Black – due to come out this May

I know!!! I watched that video where Scott, Holly, and Cassandra Clare were all talking about their books… I’m so excited!! She is an amazing author.

Well, my book recommendations are usually along the lines of “Uglies, The Hunger Games, and Harry Potter.” But (I’m pretty sure anyway) you’ve read all of those… so, um…
Maximum Ride? (I think you’ve read that one too but… it’s not very good writing anyway)
The Knife of Never Letting Go? (Amazing book)
Skinned? (It was okayish, but I didn’t really like it)
The Maze Runner? (Also amazing)
The City of Ember? (Really good book)
Exodus? (Not a single person I’ve ever met has read this… it’s by Julie Bertagna and it’s really amazing)
Anyway…

I’ve read all except exodus… thanks for the recommendation, I’m low on good books at the moment!

Okay-doky. Book recommendations. So.
Well, here are a few I enjoyed:
Epic by Connor Kostik (I doubt you’ve heard of this; it’s okay really)
Ender’s Game series by Orson Scott Card (really good)
Dragonspell series by Donita K. Paul (also pretty good)
Hope this helps….

ooh… I want to read enders game, and I have never heard of epic. Pretty sure I read the last series when I was younger. I liked them, if they are what I’m thinking of.

Yeah, they’re pretty good. Also, have you heard of The Maze Runner by James Daschner? I read it recently and it’s pretty good. It’s sci-fi, if you’re wondering.

A book entitled ‘I Am Number Four’ is due to be released on May this year, and these are the reasons why I am anticipating it:
1.) The film director (DJ Caruso, directed Disturbia and Eagle Eye), producer and main cast (Alex Pettyfer in Stormbreaker, Diana Aggron from Glee) have already been decided for the film adaptation. PS – it’s a book that hasn’t been even released!
2.) It’s Sci-Fi, YA, about 9 alien teens disguised as humans who escaped from their home planet which was destroyed by an enemy race and are now discovering abilities but are also being hunted down. Numbers 1-3 have already been killed. He (Number 4) is next. Whew!

Whoa… I have never ever heard of that before. The cast is ALREADY picked? And the book isn’t out yet. Not only that, but it sounds really good as well! Thanks Mike, I’ll definitely be sure to check it out!

Voila, the first 93 pages are up! View the excerpt here: http://browseinside.harperteen.com/index.aspx?isbn13=9780061969553&cm_sp=prodpage-_-prodimg-_-bi9780061969553
It’s jaw-dropping, mostly. The mythology is so rich you can’t help but believe it. And the writing style is so much like The Hunger Games. Read it and tell me what you think!

I read the first chapter or so. I want to read it all in one go, so that was all I needed to really like it. I’m going to pick up Artemis fowl: the Atlantis complex today, and I’ll check to see if it’s there.

Cool – I hope you get a chance to read both! I’m thinking of starting the Artemis Fowl series as well – the Atlantis Complex UK cover is too irresistible. But I have read both graphic novels, so it might be an easy ride

I read them both! Amazing! The Artemis fowl book was so irritating because I am now pining after the next (and final) book. You should definitely read them… No one is to old for artemis fowl. Especially if you like Rick Riordon’s work. And I am Number Four? Let’s just say that the movie has a lot to live up to. Now that is an alien book, none of that nonsense from Daniel X, thank goodness.

Absolutely. And did you say the next AF book will be the final one? Wow, that’s the 7th. Very HP-ish
